It wasn't that bad December 8, 2008 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
After reading reviews i was kinda preparing for the worst but it really wasn't bad. I think it was pretty funny and the whole Lula and Tank engagement angle was awkward(for tank) and funny. Now Joe having intimate time with his distant cousin was weird and he didn't seem to care even if he did it with her. I have recently caught up in the SP series thanks to the library. I do agree that alot of fans might be tired of all these books. I mean we are going on 15 books and the next holiday book. But it's still funny.
A funny quick read for a cold winter's day or to tuck into a beach tote December 7, 2008 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
I, too, have never read a Janet Evanovich novel, and picked up this book from the "new book" collection at the library.
To me Ms. Evanovich has a style that combines Robert B. Parker & Donald J. Westlake. Short sentences, witty writing combined with zany characters doing stupid, but funny things. I have to admit that I laughed out loud at some passages (the potato gun scene was funny), but the book, as a whole, really isn't memorable.
This is not a book that I would own or put on my bookshelf, but the book is perfect for taking on a family vacation or to snuggle up with next to a fireplace on a cold winter day.
still a funny fast read December 6, 2008 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
Of course its not as good as the first few books but its still a funny book that I enjoyed reading. I read those books so fast that I wish that I would wait till they came out in paperback to buy. I can hope that they next one will be better with the characters. I personally liked the Tank and Lula situation.

Wonderful December 1, 2008 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
In the 14th installment of thi series, Janet has out done herself, bringing laughter in so many places, and so many ways. Her quirky characters almost make me want to visit Trenton to see if there are really people like this out there. Her humor, and the inclusion of a monkey, just shows how far she has come, and what a joy it is to read her writings, and the continuing adventures of Stephanie Plum. From the break in at Joe's, to Grandma shooting people to keep them out of his house, this book is well worth the read.
